Making an appointment (either forward booking or on the day)
Appointments may be made online, by telephoning 01527 872426 or by calling at the surgery. Routine appointments may be booked up to two weeks in advance, which will enable us to offer you an appointment at a time more suitable to your requirements. However, if you require an appointment to be seen on the same day you are asked to telephone the surgery between 8.00am to 9.30am on the day you wish to be seen.
If you no longer require or are unable to keep an appointment, please inform us as soon as possible to enable us to offer the appointment to someone else.
Telephone consultations
If you feel that your problem could be dealt with safely over the telephone, please tell the receptionist that you would like a telephone consultation and the doctor will then telephone you at the end of morning surgery. The receptionist will ask for brief details of your problem to assist the doctor.
How to request a home visit
If you feel you need a doctor to visit you at home please phone the surgery before 10.00am to help us prioritise our calls. You may only request a home visit if you are housebound or are too ill to visit the practice. The doctors will only visit you at home if they think that your medical condition requires it. The doctor will telephone you to assess the situation further before they visit.
When demand is high it can be difficult to get a routine appointment with a doctor or nurse. When patients fail to attend for their appointments this makes things harder.
When patients are declined routine appointments because they are all booked, it is very disappointing when one of those booked appointments does not turn up and has not contacted the surgery so it can be released for someone else.
Please contact the practice on 01527 842426 if you need to cancel or re-book an appointment.
